Editorial Policy
How SaaSift qualifies, labels, updates, and withdraws public SaaS opportunity research.
Last reviewed 2026-07-29
Publication threshold
A market is eligible for the public research library only when it meets every current publication requirement.
- Opportunity score of at least 65.
- A usable product name and descriptive tagline.
- At least two persisted reasons supporting the analysis.
- At least one usable organic traffic or organic keyword estimate.
Evidence and labeling
Observed facts, derived calculations, and inferred interpretations are kept conceptually separate. Public pages expose a bounded set of research fields and exclude private analyses and raw provider payloads.
Estimated traffic, keyword, competitive, and pricing values are described as estimates or signals. Unknown values remain unknown and are not silently replaced with zero.
Scoring and interpretation
The opportunity score is generated by deterministic, versioned scoring logic. AI-assisted interpretation can add context, but it does not secretly replace the scoring formula.
A published analysis is a research starting point. It is not an endorsement, investment recommendation, revenue claim, or guarantee of future search performance.
Updates and withdrawal
Public research is regenerated from persisted snapshots on a scheduled cache cycle. Pages expose the available score snapshot and scoring version so readers can evaluate freshness.
If an opportunity no longer meets the publication threshold after its source data is refreshed, it is removed from the public index, sitemap, and RSS feed.
Independence and corrections
Research pages describe independent analysis of public signals and clearly state that SaaSift is not affiliated with the company being evaluated.
Corrections are applied through refreshed source data and revised deterministic analysis. Material methodology changes are documented on the methodology page and represented by a scoring version.
